How Does It Help?
“Working with facilitators and girls and boys of In Movement, a non profit organization in Uganda to make traveling postcards was a revelation to all of us. For a society that is groomed to detach from emotion (emotions are weakness), it was uplifting to create a card that encourages and inspires someone else. This was a way for us to let them know that we understand what they are going through but also the messages we were sending out resonated with each of us personally, that as i write to someone somewhere, i am also giving myself the same kind of inspiration and encouragement.” Conso Buzabo
How does it help?
· Visibility. Greater recognition for women throughout the world, their struggles, humanitarian oversights, and gender inequities.
· Hope. An encouraging visual reminder of a connection forged, an understanding that someone cares and a showplace for resiliency.
· Voice. Accessing your heart through creative expression and sharing your experience without censorship.
· Global Connection. Women connecting personally from great distances create new opportunities for education and awareness. Together we can act to make a difference.
